Role Purpose: As a Paraplanner, you'll support and inform Financial Advisers in areas such as pensions, mortgages, insurance, tax, and investment management. Your key role involves processing client information, researching optimal financial solutions, and producing reports and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client File Management: Prepare and maintain client files, ensuring all compliance paperwork is in order, and gather quantitative data to compile financial plans.
  • Recommendation Preparation: Conduct independent and collaborative research to identify suitable financial solutions. Prepare draft reports and liaise with clients' legal and tax advisers when necessary.
  • Implementation: Prepare suitability letters, complete application forms, and implement chosen investment strategies. Ensure all compliance paperwork is accurate and up to date.
  • Review and Relationship Management: Act as the main point of contact for clients, handle queries efficiently, review investment portfolios, and organize future planning meetings. Maintain strong client relationships and support ongoing client needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Financial Advisers in establishing new client relationships and assessing clients' financial circumstances.
  • Prepare financial statements using planning software tools to support clients' financial strategies.
  • Conduct product and service research to propose financial solutions that meet clients' goals.
  • Accurately complete application and proposal forms and implement necessary changes to clients' investments.
  • Support ongoing client relationships, maintaining a client file review system to regularly assess holdings and financial priorities.
  • Develop productive working relationships with colleagues and clients, adhering to FCA rules and ethical practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in paraplanning and supporting Financial Advisers.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software and a thorough understanding of FCA regulations.
